Interview With Young Justice Producers (All About Season 2)

KSite TV, a website dedicated to bringing news and other entertaining subjects about TV shows to their website, recently interviewed Young Justice producers, Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti at the WonderCon convention in California. The interview was very special because Greg W. and Brandon V. both gave insight to what fans can expect in Season 2, Young Justice: Invasion. From the planning of the new season to new characters, KSite TV and Young Justice producers give us the opportunity to read more about what's in stored as we watch Young Justice. I have posted some excerpts of the interview from the KSite TV website:
Greg Weisman tells us that he believes that the show will be repeat-free through the finale. “It’s not up to us, but now as part of DC Nation, I think we’re going to play out the first season through Episode 26. Episode 21 aired this morning [March 17]. As far as I know, the plan is to go right through 26, and then continue right into Season 2. That’s what we’ve been told,” he says, seemingly aware of fan complaints about long hiatuses.
Toy packaging art recently surfaced that included the DC characters Blue Beetle and Lagoon Boy. Might we see them in Season 2 as a part of the team? “You’ll definitely be seeing them in Season 2, but I never said they were a part of the team,” Weisman says. He did, however, confirm some more characters, some that we have only seen in brief glimpses, will be seen more.”You’ll be seeing more of Rocket in Season 1. Absolutely. She’s a really fun character, and we had a great time with that character,” he says.
We answer a lot of questions, but we leave one very specific question mark at the end, that doesn’t just tease Season 2; it launches us into Season 2.” He also tells us that if we watch the timestamps on the show, Season 1 ends on December 31st and Season 2 begins on January 1st.
Season 2, which is given the subtitle of “Invasion,” will feature “at least nine alien races from the DCU,” according to Vietti. “That’s not even counting Kryptonians or Martians that you’ve already seen,” he teases. Both producers noted that it’s interesting that YJ is in a programming block with Green Lantern, in that while GL has a man going out into space, YJ Season 2 has characters from space coming to Earth.

To The Fans Of Young Justice and Readers Of YJ Cave

I am aware that all of season one has been aired in Brazil and I think Turkey. But I am basing this blog on the episodes shown in the USA. So far only Episode 21 has been shown and I decided not to watch the future episodes that are leaked and or/ in subtitles. It is totally fine if anyone watches the future episodes but just know that I am posting about the episodes that are shown each week in the USA. With that being said please do not post spoilers and other information about future episodes in the comment sections. They will not be posted, since I don't want to spoil the anticipation for other Young Justice fans, but mainly I do not want to read them. Sadly I read a comment that was submitted on my blog that gave away an important mystery and now I won't be surprised when the episode airs :(.

Thanks for understanding!

Superboy and Superman Scene (Not Yet Shown!)

In one of the Young Justice Trailers there is a quick scene with Superboy and Superman that has not yet been shown in the episodes. In the scene Superman grabs Superboy's arm but Superboy is like back the 'eff off and pulls away from him. This is the link to the video, http://www.dccomics.com/videos/young-justice-trailer. At 0:52 you'll see what I'm talking about.

I'm very excited to see that scene because I want to know what makes Superman want to talk to Superboy. Like most fans, we've been thinking negatively of Superman because of his lack of interest in Superboy, so I think that scene will be intriguing to watch! Thanks to Fabiola D. (DeviantART homepage: http://fantasy93.deviantart.com/) for telling me about video!

Music Video

This cool music video is from YouTuber Flame77blast. I wanted to share her video because I think other Young Justice fans would enjoy it, plus the music goes well with the characters. Flame77blast posts new videos every Saturday and to check out her vids click here!

Maggie Q Voicing Young Justice's Wonder Woman

The "Nikkita" and "Balls of Fury" actress, Maggie Q, will officially be the voice for Wonder Woman in the Young Justice series. Wonder Woman has made a few appereances but hasn't had an official actress to do her voice. Every one will be able to hear Maggie Q's voice over work on March 24th for the episode "Agendas". Here's an excerpt of the interview Maggie Q did with TVGuide.com:

"There is nothing cooler than having lines like, 'Batman, the fate of the world is upon us.' Who gets to say that? And who gets to say that in a deep, earnest, amazingly sexy way?"
Click here to read the rest of the interview and thanks Krissy Kriss for giving me the link to the article. Also I think the pictures below are from "Agendas" airing March 24th.

SPOILER CLIP!

Alright, if you hate spoilers then I advise you not to watch this video. But if you do like spoilers, then watch the video :]. The video is so "laugh out loud" and weird at the same time. The audio is fake but the video/clip is real! I do not know what episode this is but hopefully it's soon because I want to know what it being said.

Thank you Schmidt B. for sharing the video with me :)!

"Coldhearted" Episode 20

I would just like to point out that Artemis is confusing to me. First she's pissed that MM and SB are together and no one told her. Now she got a little irritated when Wally was flirting with MM. Lol I just want her to express her emotions.

Anyways loved the episode, thought Wally was hilarious and such a great superhero.

Guest Writer Jo's Review On Ep. 19

"Misplaced"

Want to talk about the definition of conveluded?
The Light is more than a formitable force to be dealt with and at the cost of anyone to everyone in the world they have proven themselves to be much more dangerous than anything the Justice League has seen before. So is this the evolution of the Leagion of Doom in progress?
There is quite a few adorable elements such as Superboy having to deal with so many bubbling babes and on his head no less! Can't believe Artemis didn't know "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" but I guess her father, a man obsessed with sports, didn't sing to her much growing up. Billy couldn't be any cuter. There is something very noble about a super hero with a child's innocent heart unlike those like Batman who were tainted from the start. (improv rhyme)
Honestly, not a big Zatanna fan and didn't see her as a good perminent member for multiple reasons. Her abilities don't take basic training but a study & a strong guidence like her father, a master wizard, is needed to properly speak the spells as well as keep them contained safely if any should go arry. Just as M'Gann's natural abilities are so out there only her uncle could train her right. In short she needs to be an apprentice to perfect her craft. She also takes a little longer than the rest to provide combat, but once going is very effective.
". . .I wish he would just give me some space." Epic wish fail!
You see in this episode her spells end up falling short because of her lack in experiance, knowledge, and even self confidence. In past episodes she is much more confident and I think it's because her father has always been there for her to be her backup and inspiration. (#1 reason I didn't care for her before is what seemed to be undeserved confidence) Once gone for the first time there is a huge shift in her. In this sense it's easier to relate, because who hasn't been scared of losing someone close to them? All this together pushes her to become Dr. Fate and I have to say she looked pretty awesome! It's sad that even as Fate she still has trouble putting those powers to full throttle.
WTF was with that battle plan? Just jump in head first and fight a Lord of Chaos? LOL, but is there any other way? The spell was purely age & body related, because Billy is always Billy even on the inside as Captain Marvel so being a kid inside didn't count. It was a perfect loop hole. Can't stop myself, I have to say, Klarion has some stereotype gay-ness going on. XD
In the end Zatarra's sacrifice due to Nabu's cold control is heart wrenching. I really wanted him to tell Nabu to F-off, because what can he do when he's just a flippin' helmet? The goodbye was so short lived it would be like a shock to the system for ones father to just disappear like that. Does he really have to? Can't he live like Kent Nelson did & take off the helmet every now & then or else how did Kent end up getting married? On a personal note I lost my father at an early age so I feel for Zatanna. I want to be there for you, girl!
I know in the comics & animated series Zatarra always disappears one way or another leaving Zatanna all alone. In the rest she's branched out and found her way, but it's going to be interesting to see how she develops living with the team. Now that the male/female ratio is almost even the couples thing is really set (not sure I like this only because it ruins chances at random outside crushes/temporary relationships that could be developmental or angsty). It's obvious as Robin lingers in the doorway he wants to tell her something comforting (like he was in the beginning I wanted to eat him up for being so sweet!) or maybe share that she isn't the only one without parents, but he isn't allowed to reveal anything about himself. Normally, promises are made to comfort not hinder between people, but in this episode it's all that it does.
As she sits on her bed weeping (kind of I didn't see any tears, but again he's not dead & boy did she have A LOT of stuff!) then it turns to Klarion laughing it's a direct image of things to come. Their will be more of the team's tears as The Light wins more battles. At least for now we know that they will be there for her & do everything they can to cheer her up!

My Review (Ep.19)

"Misplaced" Episode 19

March 1, 2012

Episode Line-Up For The Rest Of March

The schedule for the rest of season 1 episodes is now up. Thanks to Juan M. for sharing with me that the episode schedule is up on World's Finest Online. There are five episodes left and we get to watch a new episode each week starting this Saturday! Also YJ will now be on Saturdays at 10:30am.

Ep. 19 "Misplaced" - March 3rd, 10:30am.
When every adult on the planet disappears, only the team, Zatanna, and Billy Batson are left to defeat the five most powerful sorcerers on Earth.

Ep. 20 "Coldhearted" - March 10, 10:30am.
Wally West comes oh-so-close to fulfilling his birthday wish to finally fight alongside the Justice League. Instead, a massively disappointed Kid Flash is taken off the mission and tasked with a simple delivery job. But a few deadly surprises await the birthday boy along the way….

Ep. 21 "Image" - March 17 (my birthday!), 10:30am.
A covert operation against Queen Bee in Qurac forces Miss Martian to finally face her greatest fears and her biggest secrets. But will she reveal those secrets to her friends – or allow what she’s hiding to take down the entire team?

Ep. 22 "Agendas" - March 24, 10:30am.
Superboy returns to Project Cadmus, where he learns the top-secret genetics lab may have created another Super-clone….

Ep. 23 "Insecurity" - March 31, 10:30am.
Red Arrow’s return undercuts Artemis’ confidence, while the team’s mission to track down Sportsmaster threatens to expose her darkest secrets.

So that is the  future episodes! I'm excited to watch episodes 19, 20, 21, and 23. Those three episodes I think are going to reveal a lot of secrets, plus episode 20 will probably be comical because of Wally West :].

What do you think about the new episodes and which episodes are you excited see/watch?
